Job Summary

Responsibilities

• To spearhead in-depth qualitative research into trends and consumer insights.
• Work in the position of a strategist to work on new project/product ideas based on future forecasting of trends.
• Leads and supervises research projects from framework design and creation till post-research/project evaluation
• Together with the division head, plans for overall research direction and content development
• Ensures that project execution and output meet the highest quality standards and client’s specifications
• Contributes to research and content analysis to meet pre-determined objectives.
• Monitors and provides guidance for the junior research team.
• Explore new initiatives in terms of product/project conceptualizing
• Understand future forecast trends and gaps in the market and provide business feasibility studies in these areas.
• May be required to travel overseas for development of business opportunities through networking, attending and conducting of seminars.
• Assists in the creation and delivery of proposals and pitches for clients

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in marketing, sociology, social sciences, communication sciences or any other similar and relevant academic standard
• 3-5 years experience in qualitative research preferably from a consumer product and/or brand strategy environment
• Experience with focus groups, IDI, usability will be required.
• Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities)
• Able to work independently
• Must have excellent written & communication skills
• Candidates with experience in research, client relationship management or with strong analytical skills will have a distinct advantage
