Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for the business P&L, strategic planning and execution of activities to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the company’s operations.
- Management of the business, maximising sales, inventory management & control, ensuring effective control of costs, and joint-ownership with HR on hiring, retention and attrition of outlet staff.
- Head the Retail Operations team, providing leadership and counsel to all direct and indirect reports, maximizing the team’s efficiency
- Identify and execute sales opportunities. Manage and lead the team to achieve sales targets
- Plan and allocate sales targets. Monitor and report on the achievement of daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales targets
- Design KPIs for all direct and indirect reports, monitor and drive their sales performance delivery
- Prepare and conduct regular department meetings, including with outlet staff
- Management oversight of the duty roster of outlet staff
- Ensure all outlet staff attend all in-house product/operations training and refresher courses
- Take charge of all customer service related matters -- compliments, complaints, feedback, reports, service audit, mystery shopper
- Be an effective communication link between retail outlet team and other departments
- Ensure all Company’s policies and procedures are implemented as required.
- Effective management of inventory
- Manage and resolve all operational issues -- people, systems, stocks, etc.
- Analyze relevant data and make appropriate recommendations to senior leadership team
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Retail Management
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, gained in a fast-paced and dynamic retail or service industry
- A confident and detailed oriented manager, with a high level of drive and integrity, strong leadership and people management skills
- A problem solver with excellent analytical and business acumen skills
- Results orientated, resourceful and must be willing to be “hands-on” and work on weekends when necessary
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Available immediately or within short notice is advantageous
