Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operating stability, efficiency, enhancement, and security of the organization’s computing platforms, including network systems, server, messaging, data archive and storage, databases, POS system, and backup & recovery management.
• Manage third party vendor to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled, and provision of an efficient and smooth delivery of all IT outsourcing activities to support the computing needs of the organization.
• Lead, motivate and develop a competent IT team to conceptualize, design and implement project plans
• Analyze, plan and advise management on business technology decisions including “make vs. buy”
• Engage with end users to understand their IT needs, design and lead development projects and business reporting including HR, Finance, Customer List, and to attain end user satisfaction shape their alignment with business IT agenda and to attain customer satisfaction
• Maintain proper documentation of IT inventory, and develop IT Policies
• Manage and resolve all IT challenges
• Keep abreast with technology trends, research on new and emerging technologies to assess suitability to support current and future business needs

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, gained in a fast-paced and dynamic retail or service industry
• Essential to possess experience in server infrastructure, data migration, system roll out to ERP, and integration (POS, CRM, SCM, Mobile Apps, websites and intranet)
• Keep abreast with business and technology trends, competitive scenarios and industry regulations
• A resourceful manager with a high level of drive and integrity
• A problem solver with strong business acumen, and a balanced mix of communication, negotiation, leadership and people skills
• Able and willing to be “hands-on”’ to perform and supervise system maintenance with IT team and/or third party vendor during non-business hours
• Ability to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines
• Available immediately or within short notice is advantageous
