Responsibilities

A. Visual Display:

  • Design visual display or translate and execute the designs created by HQ (make changes to the visual displays, promotional signage/visuals, moving merchandise where they will create more positive impact, and modifying shelves and altering fixtures as needed)
  • Create and maintain merchandise presentation geared to attract customers and encourage sales
  • Monitor the performance of projects taking into account quality, budget and time management
  • Be the brand's gatekeeper, ensuring that the individual brand’s style and image is projected and brought to the attention of customers
  • Responsible for building a portfolio for all counter (per project per brand) and monthly report of competitor activities


B. Inventory & Storage Management:

  • Ordering and maintenance of Display highlight and Planogram
  • Develop and maintain a clean and systematic storage management system at retail floor
  • In-charge of taking stock and flow of all display materials
  • Develop and execute strategies to prevent potential merchandise loss
  • Act as main point of contact for new merchandising initiatives; you will be responsible for communicating key information that is vital to the success of the initiative
  • Training the store team about design concepts, visual display standards, and the proper maintenance of the overall visual display effort
  • By providing on-the-job training, feedback, and recognition, you will motivate other members of the store team to actively support your visual merchandising efforts
  • Executes design strategy of each individual brands. Proposes design solutions and resolves issues related store design project management
  • Build construction and merchandising budget and implantation plans for the division


C. Retail Store/Counter Design:

  • Ensures alignment across regional and local market teams on individual store designs.
  • Collaborates directly with country’s Retail/Marketing team on store’s needs that will support the division in achieving strategic goals on time and within budget
  • Partners with Local appointed design team and assist with development and interpretation of the overall design direction for each individual brands to external partners and vendors. Responsible for assisting in the overall concept development and implementation, color direction, fixture design, material selection, functionality and capacity for store programs
  • Involved in the implementation process and creates design standards together with Korea HQ team, local vendors, and master drawing templates and details for construction documents
  • Manages the production of construction documents by vendors. Ensures all intended scope of work, needs and code requirements are met on drawings. Checks drawings for design intent. Conducts site visits as needed
  • Conducts plan reviews to ensure that all approved design intentions are fully executed. Works with Purchasing and vendors on prototype development and samples. Responsible for fixture design and development as well as value engineering recommendations
  • Leads efforts in accuracy and consistency of the architectural plans as it relates to the brands design criteria
  • Interacts and works with Landlords and Developers on site specific issues as needed. Responsible for presentations to various leaders of the brand as well as Landlords and developers if necessary or where applicable
  • Maintain a good working relationship with retailer and mall developers
  • Oversees proper implementation of store design with Construction Team and General Contractors as well as with Purchasing Team. Collaborates closely supporting all needs of each department
  • Responsible for counters/stores admin support – opening/relocation/closure of counters/stores - telephone line, broadband, VISA/MASTER/NETS terminal, electricity and water supply, etc.

 

Requirements

  • Preferably with 2 years of visual merchandising or retail design experience
  • Diploma in interior design, graphic design, architecture or other disciplines related with arts
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and retail merchandising fundamentals
  • High level of organizational abilities - must be experts on planning, time management, budget management and project management
  • Strong creative/artistic flair and problem solving abilities
  • Photoshop, Illustrator, freehand, AutoCAD
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. Able to follow and execute both verbal and written instructions
  • Demonstrate highest level of professionalism, independent, self-reliant, self-motivated and ability to achieve goals and meet deadlines without supervision
  • Strong project management skills to complete tasks with accuracy and with attention to details. Must consistently meet tight deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined
