Responsibilities

  • To manage a given section
  • To cook a-la-carte dishes in accordance with the menu
  • To manage a small team of cooks during a shift and delegate tasks accordingly
  • To assist senior kitchen staff and head chef in the preparation of dishes
  • To assist in preparation of the mise-en-place for daily operations
  • To handover tasks / assignments from previous / to next shift
  • To set up condiments for service and clean up after service
  • To ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and refrigerator areas
  • To keep kitchen equipment and tools in good order and report any defect/malfunction
  • To comply with the safety and hygiene standards at all time

Requirements

  • Minimum 'N' level with 1 Year of relevant work experience
  • Work experience in Western/Italian/Indian restaurant is a strong asset
  • Team player and love interaction with people of diverse background
  • Willing to learn, with strong motivation to excel
  • Passion for food, creative & result-oriented
  • Able to commit overtime (when required) and willing to work weekends and public holidays
