Responsibilities
- To manage a given section
- To cook a-la-carte dishes in accordance with the menu
- To manage a small team of cooks during a shift and delegate tasks accordingly
- To assist senior kitchen staff and head chef in the preparation of dishes
- To assist in preparation of the mise-en-place for daily operations
- To handover tasks / assignments from previous / to next shift
- To set up condiments for service and clean up after service
- To ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and refrigerator areas
- To keep kitchen equipment and tools in good order and report any defect/malfunction
- To comply with the safety and hygiene standards at all time
Requirements
- Minimum 'N' level with 1 Year of relevant work experience
- Work experience in Western/Italian/Indian restaurant is a strong asset
- Team player and love interaction with people of diverse background
- Willing to learn, with strong motivation to excel
- Passion for food, creative & result-oriented
- Able to commit overtime (when required) and willing to work weekends and public holidays
