Responsibilities

  • Support and assist day-to-day operations of IT Department and Data Centre - Helpdesk, Desktop, Server, Networking, IT Procurement, and Projects.
  • Provide technical services such as implementation and/or maintenance support to the customers on a wide range of systems, networking and storage solutions.
  • Work closely with principals and/or customer to provide resolutions to problems either remotely or at customers’ premises.
  • Provide information concerning products, applications & problem diagnosis to sales representatives & customers
  • Conduct product application testing & troubleshooting on customers’ applications
  • Receive phone calls or emails from Sales reps & customers and answer inquiries concerning product capabilities, specifications & applications
  • Analyze & troubleshoot customer issues via phone or email
  • Assist Sales Manager with on-site presentations to customers, as needed
  • Proactively identify areas to improve department operation efficiency & initiate projects to achieve such improvements
  • Participate in planning, installation, testing and implementation of IT infrastructure for roll-out of new/existing projects.
  • Plan capacity for hardware, software and resources, and drives delivery excellence for managed services.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer/Network Security is preferred.
  • Preferably with previous hand-on experience and skill set on system or network installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of system hardware and software.
  • Knowledge in setting up and configuring AIX/Solaris Servers.
  • Good knowledge of Win / UNIX administration with basic networking knowledge
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, activities, and projects for timely completion
  • Ability to establish and maintain pleasant interpersonal relationships primarily over the phone and emails
  • Problem solving skill – identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Possess strong communication skill including active listening
  • Have an awareness of current & emerging technologies, and industry best practices
  • Good interpersonal, communication skills with responsible attitude.
