Responsibilities
- Ensure all registrations or licenses in each country is acquired, maintained and renewed
- Follow up and ensure local regulatory personnel complete registrations on time and communicate approvals or rejections in a timely manner. Facilitate and step in when required
- Support to review and revise details of products’ labeling drafts to be compliant with the most recent respective regulations
- Support to review and revise brand/product advertisement drafts to be compliant with the most recent respective regulations
- Monitor competitors’ regulatory activities, update ASEAN guidelines, and propose alternative solutions
- Attend regulatory meetings & conferences in ASEAN, report main contents, and take necessary internal actions
- Keep updated with any changing or new rules for local regulations
- Help to solve import, export, or customs clearance regulatory problems
- Make active networks with and amongst government authorities, regulatory bodies, associations, NGO’s, etc
- Communicate with related government authorities, when necessary, to find solutions for any other regulatory issues
- Follow up on government inspections and maintenance of PIF files
- Monitor trade barrier issue changes, NGO activities, competitors’ regulatory trends, and other socioeconomic issues
- Check all countries weekly report and know their issues
- Review and streamline regulatory processes, roles and responsibilities for regulatory operations across the region. Monitor implementation of the processes
- Visit ASEAN countries with SG R&I Director to discuss local RA’s goal and performance
- Achieve or exceed all established KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
Requirements
- Bachelor(or Master) of Science Degree in chemistry, biology or life sciences; Diploma in Cosmetic science preferred
- Solid knowledge of Cosmetic Products Control in ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD)
- Minimum 5 years of experiences in Regulatory Affairs field in beauty or similar industry – Additional experiences in ASEAN food and Health Supplement regulations desirable
- Good communication skill
- Business Acumen/Commercial Awareness and numerically inclined
- Analytical and problem solving skill
- Superior listening, counseling and people management ability
- Stay current on statutory and labor market changes and trends
- Strong and friendly leadership
- A confident self-starter with a high level of drive, energy, integrity and professionalism
- Self-motivated, committed, determined, diligent and trustworthy nature
- Results oriented, resourceful, resilient, meticulous, has initiative, and willing to be “hands-on” when required
- Possess a strong sense of urgency, able to prioritize and meet deadlines, and able to work beyond contractual work hours when required
- Able to work autonomously and be a dedicated team player in a fast paced and dynamic environment
