Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Sourcing POS materials and/or Indirect materials (depending on the category management) in timely manner, at the best cost lever, compliance with quality requirement, and in accordance with Group Code of Ethics
• Work with internal clients (the various requestors of the job) and the pool of appointed vendors
• Co-ordinate Regional categories (publish regional catalogues to local teams, co-ordinate order placement and delivery)
• Knowledge of production process for cost understanding and analysis of the category managed.

 eg. PRINT production, GWP, TEMP DISPLAY POS materials

• Perform as the central point of expertise and knowledge regarding purchasing techniques, cost structure, supplier and product/services
• Specification alignment and simplification, recommend specs improvement/optimization to internal clients (the various requestors of the job)
• Identify process improvement and savings opportunities
• Support Purchasing Manager in category reviews, supplier performance tracking and managing, new category expansion, implementation of Global Policies in local country
• Monitor category spend of actual and budget

Requirements

• At least 5 years in Buying position
• Sensitive to numbers - cost analysis, monitor category spend actual and budget
• Capacity to plan, manage and conduct RFPs for managed categories
• Resourceful
• Analytical
• Extrovert
• Dealing with people - internal & external - negotiation skills
• Understand business & trend
